Glutamate Guard is a simple, fully offline tool that helps users scan food ingredient lists to identify common glutamate and MSG-related terms.
We collect no personal data.
The app requests access to your device’s camera solely to let you take a photo of a food product’s ingredients list. This photo is processed entirely on your device using Apple’s built-in Vision framework for text recognition. No image or extracted text is saved by the app unless you manually choose to do so, and even then it remains only on your device.
We do not collect, store, share, or transmit any personal information, usage data, device identifiers, or scan results. There are no analytics tools, no advertising, no third-party services, and no servers involved.
Because no personal data is collected or linked to you, you do not need to take any action to delete data from us.
Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally. We will post the new version with an updated effective date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
